an orange christmas...
midtown friends community invites you to join us in having an orange christmas.
an orange christmas means a christmas in the name of freedom for slaves across the globe.
there are six primary ways to have an orange christmas:
- asking for or giving gifts that benefit x-slaves or aid in the fight against modern slavery (see places to buy orange gifts)
- buy local or make your own gifts (see making "orange gifts")
- praying, in the name of the Jesus who sets captives free, for an end to global slavery.
- finding or hosting a screening of "not for sale" near you (or even in your home)...or simply find other ways to raise awareness amongst friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, church members...anyone!...about global slavery and how we can fight it this Christmas.
- visit the not for sale website and invite your church to become an abolitionist congregation!
- spread the word about orange christmas - so that we can all worship Jesus more justly this december 25th!
